Niners win as Jimmy G drops 3 TDs

Jimmy Garoppolo threw for three touchdowns as the Niners rolled the LA Rams at Levi’s Stadium Sunday. The game was a need-to-win game. If the Niners lost, they would have a low probability of making the playoffs. The Niners scored early when Garoppolo tossed a shovel pass to Deebo Samuel who took it in to score. The Niners led at the end of the first quarter, 7-0. The Niners kept it up with Jimmy G throwing an incredible 44 yard touchdown pass to George Kittle. The Rams retaliated with a touchdown pass from Jared Goff to Robert Woods, but the extra point attempt was blocked. With little left to go in the first half, Jimmy Garoppolo threw a touchdown pass to rookie Brandon Aiyuk. At half, the Niners led at half, 21-6. The Rams started the half with a field goal from Sam Sloman to shorten the Niners lead to 12 points. Both teams punted back and forth until Jason Verrett saved the Niners from allowing another Rams score by picking off Jared Goff while the Rams were inside the Niners 2 yard line. The Niners opened the scoring in the 4th quarter with a Robbie Gould field goal extending their lead to 15 points at 24-9. The Rams scored a touchdown on a pass from Jared Goff to Josh Reynolds to shorten the game to a one score game. The Niners defense then shut the Rams out for the rest of the game. Jimmy threw for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kittle had 7 receptions with 109 receiving yards and a touchdown. I have three words to say about this game: JIMMY IS BACK!!!!! GO NINERS!!
